Year 2018, there were fifteen Tulu films that released this year, numbers are increased when compares to last year, ten films where released in year. But we picked some actor/actresses within these films who have done outstanding screen performance.
1. Rashmitha Changappa as Priya in ‘Yera Ullerge’.
Rashmitha played a lead role pairing with Arjun Kapikad in “Thelikeda Bolli” Devdas Kapikad directorial film ‘Yera Ullerge’. In this film she played vengeful spirit attached girl. Much tougher and challenging role for any debut actress, Rashmitha managed to do it perfectly. With this performance as first step, she is now leading in Kannada serial ‘Maharani’ also busy with untitled Kannda movie.
2. Nireeksha Shetty as Thanu in ‘Appe Teacher’.
2018’s highest grossing film ‘Appe Teacher’. Nireeskha Shetty played a tomboy character Nandini role, much involvement in in her role given a best on screen performance. Skilled actress Nireeskha will be seen in upcoming film ‘Last Bench’ and ‘2 Ekre’ and still more she yet to confirm.
3. Radhesh Shenoy as Anthony in ‘PettKammi’.
Film ‘PettKammi’ is low budgeted horror film. When there was no star comedians in the film Radhesh lonely handled comedian part. Skilled actor has four years of experience in drama also played renowned show in local television. He is currently a busiest comedy actor in the Tulu Industry; he appeared in K Sooraj Shetty’s ‘Ammer Polisa’ and completed upcoming film ‘illokkel’, ‘Lungi (Kannada film)’, with having ‘Mage Kalve’ film in hand, now on shoot for ‘Ripper’ Kannada film.
4. Navya Poojari as Nisha in ‘Umil’.
We have chosen another talented actress who led in the film ‘Umil’, she is Navya Poojari. In the village girl role she appeared gorgeously and gained fans attention with her acting skills. With this remarkable performance she is already confirmed for untitled Kannada project, shooting will start soon.
5. Shubha Shetty as Supritha in ‘My Name is Annappa’.
Last one in this list is Shubha Shetty, in the film ‘My Name is Annappa’ she stunned audience with simple traditional girl look, who is scared and worried about something. She has bunch of offer in hand, yet to commit to anyone.
