“Pidayi” film is directed by Santhosh Mada, Santhosh Mada is a National Award-winning filmmaker who has built his reputation on crafting cinema that truly matters. With a deep passion for storytelling rooted in real human experiences, he has consistently brought rural life and pressing social issues to the forefront of his work. His earlier films, Jeetige and Mogajjana Koli, reflect his innate ability to find extraordinary stories within ordinary lives.

Santhosh believes in cinema that speaks to the heart, shining a light on the struggles and realities of everyday people in a way that is both authentic and deeply moving.

The film tackles real issues that many families face, particularly the shame and silence that still surrounds periods in traditional homes.

A story about an educated woman who marries into a traditional family. She does not agree with the old customs and speaks up about them. This causes problems in the family. But slowly, things begin to change for the better

The main cast features Sharath Lohitashwa in a key lead role as a family head or priest figure, alongside Devi Nair portraying the lead female character named Narayani. The main cast is further supported by Deepak Rai Panaje, Roopashree Vorkady, and Pushparaj Bollar in significant roles. The supporting cast includes Preeteshkumar Ballalbagh, Ila Vitla, Anil Raj Uppal, and Ravi Varkady, along with several child artists and others who contribute to the production.

The film “Pidayi” is produced by Suresh Krishnamurthy and K. Suresh. The editing work was done by Suresh Urs, and the camera work was handled by Unni Madavoor. The movie was made under the production banner called Namma Kanasu Productions.
