Tulu film ‘Pundi Panavu’ released.
Gangadhar Kirodian directional second Tulu film ‘Pundi Panavu’ released here on 1 February.
Film will be show in fourteen centers around twin-districts. Inaugural ceremony of the film where held at Jyothi Theater, Mangalore.
‘Pundi Panavu’ highlights the fading thoughts of Tulu people and the rich culture of Tulunadu were evoked in the film.
As the tittle says, films plot based on Tulunadu’s ancient culture “Dhaivaradhane”, “Pundi Panavu” is the ritual performed every year to serve Daiva(God) during the Tuluva month “Sona-Sankramana”, story based on egotism person who fail to serve god and later learn a lesson.
Banta-Nadavara Mathra sangha President Ajith Kumar Rai Malady, Tulu Sahithya Acadamy President A. C. Bhandari, Renowned producer Dr. Sanjeev Dandekeri, Music director S. P. Chandrakanth, Producer Ramakrishna Shetty, Renowned director Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, Kishore D Shetty, Tulu Producers association’s president Rajesh Brahmavar and others where present in the inaugural ceremony.
Film starring Suraj Sunil, Suvarna Shetty, Gopinath Bhat, Raghuram Shetty and others. Film’s story screenplay, dialogues, art and direction has done by Gangadhar Kirodian. Music director S P Chandrakanth has given BGM scores and Bhaskar Rao has composed music for the film.
