‘Girgit’ controversy : Roopesh clarifies, said “It’s unintentional”.

Day after the Mangalore District Court’s injunction over Tulu film ‘Girgit’, Roopesh Shetty and team attends press meet at Mangaluru Press Club.


Addressing the press meet Roopesh Shetty said “This film is made for only entertainment purpose, all the film and character of the film are imaginary”.

“As a director and writer on behalf of my whole team I apologize for the movie scene which hurts sentiments of lawyers. It’s unintentional , we had no intention to hurt lawyer or any other professions” he said,

“We always respect court’s decision, lawyers will give more clarity about upcoming show running information, hoping for the good news” he said.

He also said “We are getting massive support in Social Media and other platform, my request for all fans please don’t write bad about lawyers on social media, even they respect their profession”.

Actor, Director of the film Roopesh Shetty, co-director Rakesh Kadri, Producer of the film Manjunath Attavar and Naveen Shetty were present in the press meet.
