Martial Arts, Mimicry, acting, singing, dancing and sports when all these ingredients are blend together the resulted talent creation is Pruthvi Amber. An RJ turned actor, Amber rose to fame with successful debut Tulu film Barke. Amber is the lead of K Sooraj Shetty’s “PIlibail Yamunakka”.


Son of Virappa Amber and Sujatha Amber, he was born and raised in Udupi. Participating and wining in numerous dance shows in and around the state he has left the public speechless by his dance moves. Amber has previously been a radio jockey with Red FM left behind number of female fan followers. Being Radio jockey was his twisting point in life says Amber. Behind the screen he has also dubbed for Costalwood films for actors in Ice cream and Yakka Sakka.

Further Amber was seen in Kannada serials like Radha Kalyana, Sagara Sangama and Lavalavike where he got an opportunity to explore his acting skills. Being a Kamal Hassan Fan, headed him to start “Shutter Box” team with his 3 friends which produced quite a lot of Short Films.

Pilbail Yamunakka is a young and energetic team with lot of humor around, so working was really fun with creative director K Sooraj Shetty who knows the exact pulse of audience of Tulunadu. My character in this film has all the elements in it fun romance and action. Screenplay is something new in this film. Every scene builds the graph for audience neatly knit by the director. Tremendous songs composed by Kishore and written by Mayur. As I am basically dancer and martial arts trained Pilbail Yamunakka just gave me all the space to perform says Pruthvi Amber about film Pilbail Yamunakka.

Pruthvi prefers challenging roles which has different aspects and that has to be realistic. He would prefer getting into the character and living it than just acting. Amber has signed three Kannada movies as a lead in Girish Mulimani directed Raajaru, R J Production Anand Directed Bengaluru Darbi and an untitled film. In one of the film he is playing as a Jockey for which he is training himself in horse riding.

Naveen D Padil, Sonal Monteiro and Chaithra Shetty are his favorites in Tulu Industry. Amber says Tulu film is giving road to many new talents and it’s a good sign. Need good scripts which can take Tulu films to new level. If I get magical power I would want market of Tulu Industry to grow throughout the state and nation so that many talents would emerge and flourish from Tulunadu.
