Sonal Monteiro, Smiling Sparkle : The secret to being a successful woman in today’s world is to walk to the beat of your own drum, listen to your intuition, and always follow through. Model turned actress Sonal Monteiro the Coastalwood star did follow her own rules to reach success and embossed her name in the filmy industry.

At a very young age Sonal walked into modeling. In the year 2013 she was titled as Miss Beautiful Smile and Miss Konkan in the year 2015. She further stepped into the world of cinema.

Sonal never taught of taking acting as her profession. By the encouragement and support of her parents Sonal did her debut as a lead in K. Sooraj Shetty directorial 2015 release “Ekka Saka”. Later on Sonal acted in Praveen Thokkottu directorial “Jai Tulunad”.

After two Coastalwood movies Sonal will be featured once more in K. Sooraj Shetty directorial “Pilibail Yamunakka”    that will be in theaters on December 9 2016. Sonal being thrilled about her upcoming movie shares her view about the film with tulucinema.com.

Pilibail Yamunakka is a movie which is a combination of emotion, romance, comedy fight etc. PBY is a family entertainer with a brilliant story and a fresh thought.

PBY being my second movie with K Sooraj Shetty, working with him has always been the best experience. He is matchless in his own way and very professional when it comes to his work. One thing that I respect the most is that he never compromises on anything let it be the quality of the movie, music or our acting .This is definitely why  he is one of the best directors in the Coastalwood. He has always been a backbone for me throughout. Every offer that I get I discuss with him and he gives me the best advice.

PBY was definitely one of my favorite crew. Entire crew had become a family; I have enjoyed every bit of my work with them. Every person on the sets has worked hard.

Other Industries have Welcomed Sonal.

Sonal will soon be doing her debut in Kannada, Marathi, Guajarati as well as Bollywood. She is already completed shooting for Bhalehucha, Abhisaarike, Gulabi Street and an untitled Kannada film. By the end of this year she will start her project in Bollywood. However steeping further she definitely would accept projects from Tulu Industry.

Big budget Kannada film or Good directorial Tulu film.

This has happened to me when I got an offer for PBY I had an offer from one of the much known banners and a very big budget project from Kannada industry where I was selected but still kept my word given to Sooraj and the PBY team. In future I would definitely go for a good directorial Tulu film. I believe that budget really doesn’t matter. It all depends on the script and which director you are going to work with even a small budget movie with good actors and a good director and a good script can aim for more audience than a big budget movie which is not planned or directed well.
